Skills Recognition Services (SRS)

The South Australian Skills Recognition Services (SRS) supports migrants with the recognition of overseas gained qualifications and skills for the purpose of finding meaningful employment.

This service is free and is available to anyone who has working rights in Australia.

2. What does SRS offer?

• Information and advice about pathways to recognition of overseas-gained or locally-gained skills and qualifications

State Sponsorships Application Process

1. Please first visit the website of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to ensure that you meet all the visa requirements for the type of sponsorship you will be applying for:
    
   • Permanent Visas
     Offshore - Skilled - Sponsored (Migrant) visa (subclass 176)
     Onshore - Skilled - Sponsored (Residence) visa (subclass 886)
      
   • Provisional Visas
     Offshore - Skilled - Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 475)
     Onshore - Skilled - Regional Sponsored (Provisional)Visa (Subclass 487)
     
     Please note: Recent international students whom did not undertake their complete studies in South Australia are only eligible to apply for sponsorship for the Onshore - Skilled - Regional Sponsored (Provisional) visa (subclass 487).
