Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:05pm Morning Tea 10:00am - 10:15am (paid) Lunch 1:00pm - 1:30pm
Description of Shop and Work:
We are a small panel shop who work mainly on vehicles no older than 5 years, as a small shop the team is very important to us.

Quality and Control:
Work must be performed to the standard required by Auto Body Technicians and as per estimate of repairs. Any additional work must be sighted, photos taken and approved by the insurance company prior to proceeding. All additional parts are to have the job numbers recorded on them and to be retained for inspection as required. No work is to be presented to the Refinishing Department until repairs met quality standards.
Job sheets to be completed with all additional repairs and parts recorded. Any mechanical problems or other observations must also be recorded. On completion of repairs the job checklist must be performed.
Technicians are responsible for quality control on vehicles they repair.
The business has a strong commitment to the provision of a high quality of workmanship and service.
Position Functions:

Disassembly and reassembly of motor vehicles, including suspension, electrical, trim and glass.

Repair of Chassis and bodywork to manufacturers specifications.

Welding of body components

Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety requirements at all times, especially in relation to safety equipment.

Ensure all vehicles undergo a final inspection prior to leaving the premises (both own jobs and jobs of junior staff)

Organize junior staff in the movement of vehicles in the morning and afternoon.

Ensure shop is tools up and operational at 8:00am everyday.(This includes movements of vehicles and ensuring that junior staff are tools up at 8:00 as well).

Ensure Out of house sublets are organized in a timely fashion, to ensure timeframes are met.

Ensure that yourself and junior staff used floor mats and seat covers in client’s cars at all times.

Ensure individual and junior staff work areas are clean and tidy at all times.

Ensure vehicles are completed within reasonable allocated timeframes.

Ensure all job sheets own and junior staff are completed correctly.

Let the front office staff know by 9:30 everyday as to when your vehicles which are due out that day will be completed.

Ensure junior staff are trained in: - - Disassembly and reassembly of motor vehicles, including suspension, electrical, trim and glass. - Repair of Chassis and bodywork to manufacturers specifications. - Welding of Body Components.
